Almost Paradise Series Information:

IMDb TV, Amazon's free streaming service, announced today the Season Two pickup of the action series Almost Paradise, created by Dean Devlin and Gary Rosen, who will also serve as co-showrunners. The drama follows Alex Walker (Christian Kane, Leverage: Redemption), a former U.S. DEA agent who, after his partner's betrayal and a life-threatening battle with hypertension, is forced into early retirement and relocates to a small tropical island in the Philippines. Currently, Season One of Almost Paradise is exclusively available to stream on-demand on IMDb TV in the U.S.

Once the DEA's most resourceful undercover operative, Walker now runs the gift shop in the island's luxury resort hotel. While he manages to transition from top DEA agent to laid-back islander, the luxury resort has attracted the rich, powerful - and sometimes criminal - elite from around the world, often on a collision course with Alex. Despite his best efforts to begin a tranquil new life, he's pulled back into a world of dangerous people and deadly situations, either through his friends in the local police, Kai Mendoza (Samantha Richelle, Syd) and Ernesto Alamares (Arthur Acuña, The Bourne Legacy), or running into people from his old life. And the problem is, he likes it.

    I hope they find a new home for another season, preferably more than just one! I know it’ll be tough for Christian Kane to juggle this and the reboot of Leverage, but I’m sure he’ll be just fine. Hopefully anyways! These are both physical roles he portrays, so that’s gotta be exhausting. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see… All I know is they better not let this show completely die!!! I love this show!

    I love this show!! Please find a platform for it to have a second season. It is such a good show. I wasn’t aware Leverage was being rebooted but I’m absolutely thrilled. It was one of my favorites. I certainly hope Christian Kane can juggle both because both shows deserve to be on television!!!

    I haven’t enjoyed a TV series like this in a long time. Can’t understand why it was not renewed. It just felt like a fun 1 hour of relaxing TV. Nothing political about the eps, just fun.

    Late comer. I love Christian Kane and this came up when I was looking for the Reboot of Leverage. Awesome show. Hope it gets picked up elsewhere.

    I love this Show! I have been checking for the return and am so upset that they haven’t already shot the next season and have it ready to go!! Common, there has to be at least one other station that wants a great show like this!
