Reelz ordered a 90-episode renewal for the police series, On Patrol: Live. Its initial 60-episode order runs through the end of February, and with this renewal decision, the show will run on the network until January 2024. The series is a revival of the long-running “Live PD,” which A&E suspended in 2020 during protests against police abuse after the killing of George Floyd. Producers rewrote the series and took it to Reelz, where it premiered in July 2022.
The series follows Beech Grove Police and other police departments as they respond to police calls in the neighborhood in real time. In 2022, the program enjoyed a strong run with approximately 4 million weekly viewers.
Dan Abrams, Sgt. Sean Larkin (retired) and Deputy Sheriff Curtis serve as the show’s hosts. Executive producers include Dan Cesareo, John Zito, Lucilla D’Agostino, Paul Gordon, Joe Venafro, and Dan Abrams.

“The growth Reelz experienced in 2022 was remarkable by any measure, and since the July 22 premiere of On Patrol: Live, our audience has increased every month and we expect that trend to continue into 2023 and beyond,” said Reelz CEO Stan E. Hubbard in a statement.
“On Patrol: Live viewers come together to create a massive, engaged audience for three amazing hours every Friday and Saturday night,” he added.
