Family Guy got an early two-season renewal from FOX, securing its 22nd and 23rd seasons. The animated comedy will remain on the air at least through the 2024–2025 broadcast season thanks to this two-season renewal, which comes in halfway through Season 21.
The cartoon sitcom follows the exploits of the Griffin family, a dysfunctional family who struggles to get by as they are thrust from one absurd situation to another in a wild Rhode Island town. It is sick, twisted, and politically incorrect. It stars Seth MacFarlane, Alex Borstein, Seth Green, Mila Kunis, and Mike Henry.

The series currently ranks among the Top 10 comedies for the 2022-23 season, making it its fifth time. Family Guy is currently the network’s most-streamed show ever, averaging 5.1 million P2+ viewers this season.
Alongside Family Guy, FOX also renewed two other staple comedies, The Simpsons and Bob’s Burgers, for the 2024-2025 broadcast cycle.
“Across 750 episodes of The Simpsons, 400 episodes of Family Guy, and 250 episodes of Bob’s Burgers, we couldn’t be more proud to continue delivering these three animated hits with the most brilliant teams in animation,” Marci Proietto, EVP of 20th Television Animation, said.
“Our relationship with FOX over the past three decades has allowed this trio of shows to thrive, grow and deliver immeasurable moments of hilarious and irreverent entertainment for fans, and we are absolutely thrilled that FOX is doubling down on each of these iconic shows,” he added.
