HBO confirms the cancellation of the dystopian sci-fi series Westworld. Its fourth season, which concluded last August 14, will be its finale. However, according to the reports, although it will not be produced, the people associated with the show will still get their pay for Season 5.
In the fourth season of the series, the program’s ratings and viewership decreased despite its extravagant budget, which exceeded $100 million. Despite the efforts of the creators, Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, hoping and advocating for another chapter, the show will not be proceeding in its fifth season.

Even when people expected the show to get cancelled, the news still registered as a shock since season 4 ended in a cliffhanger.
The series centers on a world where every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged. It stars Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Thandiwe Newton, Evan Rachel Wood, and James Marsden. Additionally, the executive producers of the series are Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, J.J. Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis, Ben Stephenson, and Denise Thé.
