The upcoming fifth season of “Virgin River” is set to premiere on Netflix on September 7th, featuring a 10-episode run. In a departure from previous seasons, the last two episodes of Season 5’s 12-episode order will be released as holiday episodes on November 30th. The popular romantic drama, starring Alexandra Breckenridge and Martin Henderson, has typically followed a different release pattern, with all episodes dropping together.
Season 5’s official logline hints at significant developments, as illustrated by released images: Brie courageously facing her rapist in court, a looming wildfire threatening Virgin River, and Doc and Hope returning to their routines after health scares. Dr. Cameron remains a part of the story, Lizzie and Denny reconcile, Jack’s glamping venture thrives, Preacher and Paige address their past, and Mel and Jack’s happiness continues.
The cast includes regulars Tim Matheson, Annette O’Toole, Colin Lawrence, Benjamin Hollingsworth, Zibby Allen, Sarah Dugdale, Marco Grazzini, Mark Ghanimé, Kai Bradbury, and Kandyse McClure. Additional cast members also play vital roles.
“Virgin River” secured an early renewal for Season 6 in May. Writers like Patrick Sean Smith, Jackson Sinder, Talia Gonzalez, Tesia Joy Walker, Erin Cardillo, Richard Keith, Mary Page Keller, Thomas Ian Griffith, John Lowe, and Ildiko Susany contribute to the series.
