
Netflix released a first-look clip and official images of the highly-anticipated second season of Vikings: Valhalla. The streaming service announced its renewal for seasons 2 and 3 in March this year. Season two premieres on January 12, 2023. However, aside from the information that Season 3’s filming began in May 2022, more details regarding the third season are yet to be released.
The events of the seriesย take place 100 years after the Great Viking army, led by Ragnar Lothbrok’s sons, set sail for England in search of revenge for his death. It is a spin-off series ofย Vikings.ย The drama beginsย in the early 11th century. Itย follows the legendary exploits of some of the most well-known Vikings in history, including Leif Eriksson,ย Freydis Eriksdotter,ย Harald Hardrada, and William the Conqueror, the Norman king. These men and women will blaze a path as they fight for survival in the ever-changing and evolving world.
Michael Hirst serves as the creator of this historical drama series. The returning cast includes Sam Corlett, Frida Gustavsson, Leo Suter, Bradley Freegard, Jรณhannes Haukur Jรณhannesson, Laura Berlin, David Oakes, Pollyanna McIntosh, and Soren Pilmark. Also, you will see new faces in the cast, such as Bradley James, Hayat Kamille, Marcin Dorocinski, and Sofya Lebedeva.
Stuart serves as showrunner and executive producer of season two. Morgan OโSullivan, Michael Hirst, Sheila Hockin, Steve Stark, James Flynn, John Weber, Sherry Marsh, Alan Gasmer, and Paul Buccieri also executive produce. MGM Television is the studio.

Set over a thousand years ago in the early 11th century, VIKINGS: VALHALLA chronicles the heroic adventures of some of the most famous Vikings who ever lived – the legendary explorer Leif Eriksson (Sam Corlett), his fiery and headstrong sister Freydis Eriksdotter (Frida Gustavsson), and the ambitious Nordic prince Harald Sigurdsson (Leo Suter). Season Two finds our heroes shortly after the tragic fall of Kattegat; an event that has shattered their dreams and altered their destinies. Finding themselves suddenly fugitives in Scandinavia they are forced to test their ambitions and courage in worlds beyond the fjords of Kattegat.
