Hulu is bidding farewell to “Up Here,” the musical romantic comedy created by Steven Levenson, the writer of “Dear Evan Hansen,” as it concludes its first season.
The eight-episode show, co-produced by Danielle Sanchez-Witzel (known for “The Carmichael Show”), Thomas Kail, Kristen Anderson-Lopez, and Robert Lopez, was set in 1999 in New York City. It revolved around a couple’s journey of falling in love while realizing that their own inner struggles might be the most significant hindrance to their happiness together. The series premiered in March.
