
Octavia Spencer announced on Instagram that Apple’s drama series, Truth Be Told, will not have a fourth season. The show, which told a different story each season, concluded with its third chapter in March.
Spencer expressed her gratitude to the show’s partners and creative team and bid farewell to her character, Poppy Scoville.
Apple TV+ head of programming, Matt Chernis, praised the show and its star, Octavia Spencer, and expressed his eagerness to collaborate with them again.
Created by Nichelle Tramble Spellman, the show explored America’s fascination with true crime podcasts and tackled themes related to justice and family drama.
The third season was led by showrunner and executive producer Maisha Closson, with Spencer, Reese Witherspoon, and others also serving as executive producers.
