The reboot of James Cameron’s 1994 action-comedy film True Lies has been canceled by CBS after only one season.
The show has been the lowest-rated scripted series of the season for the network, which has decided not to renew it for a second season.
The season finale is scheduled to air on May 17. S.W.A.T., East New York, and True Lies were the three remaining shows whose renewal decisions were announced by CBS on that day.
True Lies stars Steve Howey and Ginger Gonzaga in the roles made famous by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis in the movie. In the finale, the team seeks help from a teen hacker to locate the culprit who hijacked a van loaded with confidential information about Omega Sector operatives.
