The American Season 3 premiere of Canadian medical drama Transplant has been rescheduled. It will now debut on October 12 at 9 pm on NBC, a week later than the initial October 5 date. The new season will also be available for streaming on Peacock the following day.
Transplant, a winner of two consecutive Canadian Screen Awards for Best Drama, continues the story of Bashir “Bash” Hamed (Hamza Haq) as he strives to rebuild his life. While working towards Canadian citizenship for himself and his sister Amira (Sirena Gulamgaus), Bash confronts the evolving challenges that come with his new life in his adopted country.
Facing ongoing scrutiny to prove himself, Bash collaborates closely with his colleagues as they navigate the aftermath of the previous season’s intense events. Each character grapples with change and strives to find their place within and beyond the walls of York Memorial Hospital.
Following the departure of Dr. Bishop, the team gains a new leader, Dr. Neeta Devi (Rekha Sharma), who aims to revamp the emergency department at York Memorial.
The series stars Hamza Haq, Laurence Leboeuf, Ayisha Issa, Jim Watson, Torri Higginson, Gord Rand, and Sirena Gulamgaus, among others. Joseph Kay, the creator, also serves as the showrunner and executive producer, along with a team of other executive producers.
“Transplant” is produced by Sphere Media in collaboration with CTV and Universal International Studios, a division of Universal Studio Group.
