The CW has announced that it will not be renewing The Winchesters for a second season, in line with its new owner’s profitability-driven strategy. The network is shifting its focus to prioritize unscripted and cost-effective scripted programming, with a particular emphasis on international acquisitions and co-productions.
Among the current lineup, only All American and Walker have received renewals for the upcoming season, while The Winchesters, Kung Fu, and Walker Independence have unfortunately been canceled. The fate of Superman & Lois and All American: Homecoming hangs in the balance with uncertain prospects, followed by Gotham Knights.
