Life is looking a little less real for daytime TV.
Warner Bros. Television has cancelled long-running talk show, The Real, after eight seasons, Cancelled Soon TV has learned.
Speaking on social media, co-host Loni Love responded to news that the show won’t return for Season 9:
“In the end, The Real cast and crew did everything we could to scale the show down. We shot 7-8 shows in 3 days, no audience, made a conference room into a studio but in my opinion Covid costs killed this show. It’s been a great ride and thank you to the studio for allowing 8 seasons of the show that was Emmy-winning and historic. Most importantly thank you to the viewers for riding with us. This is not goodbye, but see you all soon!”

About The Real TV Show
The Real is a daily, one-hour talk show hosted by the dynamic team of Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Bailon on FOX television stations and in national syndication (check local listings), with a rebroadcast on cable network BET.
Led by five bold, diverse and outspoken hosts, these women reflect the home audience. They unapologetically say what women are actually thinking. Their unique perspectives are brought to life through their candid conversations on topics ranging from their own personal lives to the news of the day, to beauty, fashion and relationships.
Unlike other talk shows, each of the five hosts is admittedly a “work in progress,” and fearlessly invite the home audience into their lives. Their fresh points of view, youthful energy and passion have turned the traditional talk show on its head.Keep track of the cancel/renew status of all your favorite TV shows.
