The Dr. Oz Show won’t doesn’t have a healthy future after all.
The syndicated series, which was originally renewed through the 2022-23 season, is coming to an end, due to the fact that Mehmet Oz is running for Senate in Pennsylvania.
The series finale of The Dr. Oz show will air on January 14.
From January 17, The departed Dr. Oz Show will be replaced by The Good Dish, a food-themed expansion of segments from The Dr. Oz Show.
The Good Dish will be hosted by Daphne Oz (Oz’s daughter), Gail Simmons and Jamika Pessoa.
Sony Pictures Television commented on the news:
“Audiences have been loving what Daphne, Gail, and Jamika have been serving up during their weekly segments on The Dr. Oz Show for years. We have long believed The Good Dish would make an excellent stand-alone series and are delighted to be able to deliver this fresh take on the cooking genre to our station partners and their viewers across the country.”
