Apple TV+ revealed their renewal decision for their espionage thriller series Tehran for season three. They also announced that multi-Emmy Award nominee Hugh Laurie will be joining the ensemble cast as Eric Peterson, a South African nuclear inspector, for the upcoming season, which is currently in production.
The series follows the Mossad hacker agent Tamar when she enters Tehran using a phony identity. At the end of season two, she went rogue and was grieving the loss of her closest allies. In season three, Tamar must find a way to reinvent herself and win the Mossad’s allegiance if she is to survive.
Niv Sultan, Shaun Toub, and Shila Ommi will reprise their roles for the third season. Also, Sasson Gabai, Bahar Pars, and Phoenix Raei will also star as new additions.
Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden, Maor Kohn, and Daniel Syrkin are the co-creators of “Tehran,” and Syrkin also serves as director. The executive producers are Tony Saint, Daniel Syrkin, Moshe Zonder, Dari Shai Slutzky, and Tal Fraifeld for Kan, Eden and Shula Spiegel for Donna and Shula Productions, Alon Aranya for Paper Plane Productions, Julien Leroux for Paper Entertainment, Peter Emerson for Cineflix Studios, and Alon Aranya for Paper Plane Productions.
