SurrealEstate has closed up shop.
Syfy has cancelled the paranormal real estate drama after one season.
SurrealEstate Season 2 is not moving forward at Syfy/CTV, though efforts are being made to find the show a new home.
Series creator George R. Olson said of the cancellation and hopes for Season 2 elsewhere:
“Hey folks. Sorry to tell you that we will not be moving forward with Surreal Estate Season Two on Syfy. But we have no intention of leaving Luke alone in a bowling alley when his mom is out there somewhere and mortgage rates are so reasonable.
We’re committed to finding a new home for #SurrealEstate, and if there’s one thing The Roman Agency knows about, it’s finding new homes. You can help us by keeping #SurrealEstate in your hearts, minds, tweets and posts. … Stay tuned. And thanks so much for believing in ghosts, demons, Roadies, LRG’s, Mumfords, low-maintenance composite decking and our little show.”

About SurrealEstate TV Show
From Blue Ice Pictures, the 10-episode first season was filmed in Newfoundland, Canada. George Olson developed the series for television and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Armand Leo and Danishka Esterhazy also serve as executive producers. THE SURREALTOR follows realtor Nick Roman and an elite team of specialists that handle the cases no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. Researching, investigating and "fixing" the things that go bump in the night, the team works to create closure - and closings -- even as they struggle with demons of their own.

Another mistake for SYFY!!!
Another mistake!!!
I hate this! SurrealEstate was one of my favorite shows this year and the only Syfy show I’ve been interested in for a very long time. Fun show, great cast, imaginative writing…Big mistake, Syfy!
Really liked this show and the cast. Don’t understand why so many good shows get cancelled and yet others, that I don’t hear many people say they like or watch, are kept. Do hope the show gets picked up on another network.
Surreal Estate was the best new show on Syfy and they canceled it!? The show was a cut above the rest in the paranormal genre and it had class in my opinion. Another bad move from Syfy! Great cast, writing, setting stories actors, I loved it all! I know there are many other viewers like myself out there that feel the same. Waiting to see where the show finds its new home hopefully soon!
