Nickelodeon has confirmed the renewal of its flagship animated series, SpongeBob SquarePants, for a 15th season consisting of 26 episodes. This announcement comes in anticipation of the show’s 25th anniversary next year. In the upcoming season, SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, Mr. Krabs, Plankton, and Squidward will embark on more underwater adventures. The series has been a tremendous success, with 345 episodes and counting since its debut in July 1999. The voice cast includes Tom Kenny (SpongeBob SquarePants), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick Star), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy Cheeks), and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton). Seasons 1-12 are available on Paramount+. SpongeBob SquarePants, created by the late Stephen Hillenburg, has become a global franchise, including spinoff series, movies, merchandise, and a Tony-winning Broadway musical. The show is produced by Nickelodeon in Burbank, with Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller as executive producers. Claudia Spinelli and Kelley Gardner oversee production at Nickelodeon.
