Apple TV+ has announced the renewal of the comedy series, Shrinking. The ten-part first season premiered on January 27, and it is still undergoing with two episodes left. The streaming service is yet to release more updates regarding the renewal decision.
The series centers on Jimmy, a bereaved therapist who begins to defy rules and tell his patients what he really thinks. He finds himself making significant, unsettling changes to people’s lives, including his own while disregarding his training and ethics. It stars Jason Segel, Harrison Ford, Christa Miller, Jessica Williams, Michael Urie, Luke Tennie, and Lukita Maxwell.

In a press release from Apple TV+, the people involved in the series shared their sentiments regarding the renewal:
“We have loved the engaging, touching, and hilarious world of ‘Shrinking’ since the beginning, and it has been wonderful to watch as audiences around the world continue to connect with these big-hearted characters,” said Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+.
“We can’t wait for viewers to experience what the cast and creative team have for season two,” he added.
Bill Lawrence, Jason Segel, Brett Goldstein, Brian Gallivan, Rachna Fruchbom, Bill Posely, Annie Mebane, Wally Baram, Sofi Selig, and Neil Goldman serve as writers for Shrinking. The directors are James Ponsoldt, Ry Russo-Young, Randall Winston, and Zach Braff. Executive producing the series are Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold, Liza Katzer, Jason Segel, Neil Goldman, Brett Goldstein, James Ponsoldt, and Randall Winston.
