Channel 4 is putting the regular SAS: Who Dares Wins on hold, shifting focus to the celebrity edition. Filming an extended eight-episode run of Celebrity SAS, the decision is based on its success, not cost-cutting. The civilian version had 1.5M viewers per episode, while the celebrity version had 2M. This follows a scandal involving Chief Instructor Ant Middleton, replaced by Rudy Reyes. Channel 4 assures it’s a performance-based decision unrelated to budget or Four Weddings cancellation. CEO Alex Mahon may earn record income from a bonus scheme.
