Reacher is set to delve into more revelations following an early renewal for its third season. Amazon’s Prime Video has officially greenlit the show for its third installment ahead of the second season’s premiere on December 15. Alan Ritchson, portraying the titular character, shared the exciting news during a panel at CCXP in São Paulo, Brazil, where he also unveiled an extended preview for the upcoming second season. The series is an adaptation of Lee Child’s novels, with the second season drawing inspiration from the 11th book in the series, titled “Bad Luck and Trouble.” Ritchson takes on the role of Jack Reacher, a seasoned military police investigator, who, after receiving a cryptic message, discovers that members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being systematically and brutally murdered. Forced to leave his nomadic lifestyle behind, Reacher teams up with three former teammates, now considered his chosen family—Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), a forensic accountant with whom Reacher has a soft spot, and David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos), a quick-witted, switchblade-wielding family man.
