Max has chosen Thursday, August 10th as the premiere date for Season 2 of Issa Rae’s comedic show Rap Sh!t. The second season, consisting of eight episodes, will kick off with a double episode release on August 10th, followed by a weekly release of one episode each week until the season finale on Thursday, September 21st.
Rap Sh!t revolves around the story of Shawna (portrayed by Aida Osman) and Mia (portrayed by KaMillion), two former high school friends from Miami who reunite to form a rap group. As they climb the ladder of success, Shawna and Mia face a critical crossroads in their rap careers where they must decide whether to remain authentic or succumb to the pressures of the music industry.
The cast also includes Jonica Booth as Chastity, RJ Cyler as Lamont, and Daniel Augustin as Maurice.
