Paramount+ has decided not to renew “Joe Pickett” for a third season. The series, led by Michael Dorman, has been canceled after two seasons. Originally commissioned by Spectrum in early 2021, the show was taken over by Paramount+ for streaming. Seasons 1 and 2 will remain available on the service. “Joe Pickett” followed the journey of a committed game warden, portrayed by Dorman, and his family as they navigated the changing socio-political landscape of a small rural town facing economic turmoil. In the recent second season, the Wyoming game warden, played by Dorman, uncovers a mountain hunter’s murder, which is part of a series of gruesome killings. To solve the case and catch the murderer, Joe must contend with a radical anti-hunting activist, enigmatic twins living off the grid, and his own troubled past. As Joe and his wife, Marybeth (Julianna Guill), delve deeper, they realize the murdered men weren’t as innocent as they appeared. But their pursuit leads to a dangerous flight for their lives.
