Apple has decided against commissioning a second season of their new drama, Dear Edward, which was created by Jason Katims, executive producer of Friday Night Lights and Parenthood.
The show was based on a novel of the same name by Ann Napolitano and was produced by Apple Studios, with Katims serving as showrunner and executive producer alongside Jeni Mulein.
Dear Edward follows the story of a 12-year-old boy named Edward Adler who survives a fatal plane crash, which claimed the lives of all other passengers, including his family.
The show starred Colin O’Brien, Connie Britton, and a diverse ensemble cast who try to navigate life after the tragedy.
