NBC cancelled the dance competition series Dancing With Myself after one season. The news came after NBC announced its summer line-up, including the return of America’s Got Talent, the launch of Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge, and more.
Early problems with Dancing With Myself included Shaquille O’Neal withdrawing from the show, leading Jonas to replace him as one of the judges. Also, according to reports, the competition series has been facing problems with the elaborate stage design, which delays the rehearsals.
The series stars Nick Jonas, Liza Koshy, and Shakira as judges, with Camille Kostek as the host. The first season premiered on May 31, 2022, and aired its final episode on July 19, 2022.
Dancing With Myself features a group of everyday people competing in various high-energy dancing challenges. The creators on the judging panel choose their favorites, and the audience picks contestants to proceed as each round of the competition progresses.
Universal Television Alternative Studio and Irwin Entertainment produce the series. John Irwin, Dave Kuba, and Eli Frankel serve as executive producers for Irwin Entertainment. Other EPs include Tina Nicotera Bachman, Ben Thursby-Palmer, Jaime Levine, and Shakira.
