CBS announced the renewal of the procedural forensic crime drama series CSI: Vegas for season three after the first two seasons received a positive response from the audience. The series is a sequel to CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
CSI: Vegas follows a team of crime scene investigators as they apply science-based investigations to crack murder cases. The first season of the series starred William Petersen and Jorja Fox. Before season 2 of the show, both Fox and Petersen left. The cast for the sophomore season includes Marg Helgenberger, Paula Newsome, Matt Lauria, Mandeep Dhillon, Ariana Guerra, Jay Lee, and Lex Medlin.

Jerry Bruckheimer Television in association with CBS Studios produces CSI: Vegas. ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group distributes the show internationally. Jerry Bruckheimer, Jason Tracey, Jonathan Littman, KristieAnne Reed, Anthony Zuiker, Ann Donahue, Carol Mendelsohn, Craig O’Neill, Cindy Chvatal, William Petersen, Steven H. Kram, and Steven H. Blume serve as the executive producers.
