Fox is in the process of making decisions regarding renewals and new shows. Unfortunately, the comedy series Call Me Kat has been canceled after three seasons due to dwindling ratings, especially in the third season. However, the comedy series Animal Control is expected to receive a second season, and the future of Welcome To Flatch, which is in its second season, is still uncertain.
The cancelation of Call Me Kat is not expected to affect Fox’s decision on whether to bring Welcome To Flatch back for a third season. The new head of comedy, Cheryl Dolins, is prioritizing the search for more comedies.
Call Me Kat starred Mayim Bialik as Kat, a 39-year-old single woman who opened a cat café after leaving her job as a professor at the University of Louisville.
The show was produced by Jim Parsons, Bialik, and others. Fox has already renewed the freshmen drama series Accused and Alert: Missing Persons Unit and picked up Rescue: HI-Surf, a new drama series from John Wells Productions. The animated series The Simpsons, Family Guy, and Bob’s Burgers have also been renewed.
