CBS confirmed the renewal of Big Brother for season 25. The announcement came immediately after the finale of season 24, on Sunday night, September 25, with the three remaining house guests โ Taylor Hale, Monte Taylor, and Matthew Turner competing to win in their last Head of Household events.
The TV show host, Julie Chen-Moonves, took to Twitter and posted a short video to break the news to the anticipating fans.

According to CBS, Big Brother’s 24th season received over 11.5 billion minutes of viewing across CBS, Paramount+, CBS.com, and the CBS app. This overwhelming number includes the complete episodes of the show and the live feeds from the “Big Brother” house. In addition, its three weekly broadcasts over the summer were among the top 10 programs of the season in both total viewers and the adults 25-54 demographic. Additionally, the most popular Netflix series, Stranger Things’ most recent season, is overtaken in interaction by Big Brother programming across all streaming services.
