“Is there an end to the life-or-death games?” It’s a mystery. Although, what we are sure of is that the second season of Alice in Borderland is just right around the corner. As we are nearing December 22, its premiere date, the streaming service released the official trailer for the upcoming season.
In this sci-fi thriller from Japan, Arisu and Usagi are trapped in Borderland, a place of life and death. They need to play and succeed in a series of games to gather numbered cards, which are the key to returning to their original world. However, those that lose experience a fatal outcome. In Season 2, the ten players that won the games at the end of Season 1 will be back, but what will they play next?
Alice in Borderland stars Kento Yamazaki and Tao Tsuchiya. Also, the cast includes Nijiro Murakami, Ayaka Miyoshi, Dori Sakurada, Aya Asahina, Sho Aoyagi and Riisa Naka.
“We had these really large-scale scenes every day, and the world of the show is bigger than ever,” Yamazaki told Netflix.
“Each shot has big set pieces, like explosions. I was able to experience it like my character Usagi, in those realistic scenes. Every day was such a valuable experience for me. I felt it was a really enjoyable time,” Tsuchiya said.
