The highly anticipated Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow is just right around the corner, and the official teaser is already here. The first part of the series premiered on June 18 this year and released its last episode on August 28. A few weeks after its premiere, the streaming service announced that the second part debuts on December 10.
By August 7, 2022, the series got a total of 91,810,000 million hours of viewing count. The first season centers on the beginnings and rise of Jang Wook, Daeho’s most potent sorcerer, who also had a sinister secret involving unlawful soul-shifting. The events in the upcoming season take place three years after the events unfolded in season one. Additionally, it will reveal the relationship between Nak-Su and Seo Yool.
Go Yoon-Jung will reprise her role as the Shadow Assassin Nak-Su, and Lee Jae-wook will return as Jang Wook. Also, Yoo Jun-Sang, Hwang Min-Hyun, Shin Seung-Ho, and Yoo In-Soo will all reprise their roles.
The creators of Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow are the writing duo Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ra or The Hong sisters. They are known for Hotel Del Luna and an extensive list of other popular K-Dramas. Park Joon Hwa serves as the director.
