Alaska: The Last Frontier will premiere its first episode for its upcoming 11th season on Discovery Channel on Sunday, October 9 at 9 PM ET/PT. The show centers on homesteaders as they survive off their 640-acre property in Homer, Alaska, including Jewel’s father, Atz.
This new season of the multiple Emmy-Award nominated series follows the Kilcher family as they navigate their lives after Otto Kilcher got critical injuries from being mauled by a steer in a severe snowstorm.
When an animal attack leaves Otto Kilcher in critical condition, the younger generation has to step in for their homestead’s survival.

Discovery Studios produces Alaska: The Last Frontier for Discovery Channel. Executive producers for Discovery Studios include Brigham Cottam, Molly Mayock, Sandy Varo Jarrell, and Suzanne Rauscher. Gretchen Morning and John Slaughter are the executive producers for Discovery Channel, and Cameron Doyle is the coordinating producer.
