CBS announced the renewal of 48 Hours for season 36. For 17 straight seasons, the top non-sports primetime program on Saturdays has been the true-crime docuseries, which focuses on crimes and justice cases. The show was shortly known as 48 Hours Mystery but has reverted to its original title. Natalie Morales joined the program as a new correspondent, and Judy Tygard is the executive producer.
Additionally, CBS today announced the renewals of 60 Minutes, NCIS, NCIS: Hawai’i, CSI: Vegas, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Tough As Nails, and Lingo. These shows, alongside 48 Hours, join the previously announced renewals for Fire Country, Young Sheldon, Ghosts, The Neighborhood, Bob Hearts Abishola, So Help Me Todd, The Equalizer, FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted.
