Netflix has confirmed the highly anticipated second season of The Sandman. The audience watched the first season for 69.5 million hours in its first three days, claiming its place on the first rank in the top 10 rankings during the Aug. 1-7 viewing window. Additionally, it got 127.5M in its second week, scoring 77.2M in its third week and 53.8M in its fourth.
The confirmation of the renewal comes after an unintentional leak on Wednesday by the official DC Comics Twitter account in a since-deleted post. Gaiman called out a fake Twitter account after cancellation rumors started to spread on social media. They later on confirmed the news on the The Sandman Netflix official account.

The series follows The Sandman, also known as Dream, who governs all dreams. He got abducted and imprisoned for more than a century. Now, he must travel across several worlds and timelines to undo the havoc caused by his absence. It stars Tom Sturridge as the titular god of dreams, along with Vivienne Acheampong, Patton Oswalt, Gwendoline Christie, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Kyo Ra, Boyd Holbrook, Jenna Coleman, and Mason Alexander.
The Sandman is produced for Netflix by Warner Bros. Television.
