Netflix has announced the cancellation of The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself after its first season. The news came unexpectedly, considering the performance of the fantasy series on the streaming service platform. It received positive responses from the audience and critics, gaining a 92% audience score and a 93% score from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
The show entered Netflix’s Global Top 10 chart for two weeks, racking up 44.72 million hours and dropping out in its third week. The show premiered on October 28, 2022.
Half Bad‘s UK producer Imaginarium was the first to break the news on their Twitter account. Also, the stars expressed their disappointment and did not forget to thank the people they worked with in the show.

The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself centers on Nathan Byrne as he tries to find his place in the world with the help of his friends while trying not to follow in his notorious witch father’s footsteps. It stars Jay Lycurgo, Nadia Parkes, Paul Ready, Isobel Jesper Jones, and Karen Connell.
Creator Joe Barton, Andy Serkis, Jonathan Cavendish, Colm McCarthy, Phil Tennant, and Phil Robertson are executive producers. Adrian Sturges and Steve Clarke-Hall served as producers.
