BBC announces the renewal of Steven Knight’s SAS Rogue Heroes for a second season. It garnered 3.8 million viewers, making the series one of the BBC’s top five drama debuts of 2022, surpassing all UK debuts for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and Disney+ this year, according to Barb statistics.
SAS Rogue Heroes follows the Special Air Service or SAS, Britain’s elite special forces unit, during the darkest days of World War II. It stars Connor Swindells, Jack O’Connell, Alfie Allen, Dominic West, and Sofia Boutella. Also, the cast includes Bobby Schofield, Theo Barklem-Biggs, Tom Glynn-Carney, Jacob Ifan, and Miles Jupp.

The fans have been anticipating a season renewal news after its first season ended in a cliffhanger as Paddy Mayne took over the Rogue Heroes. The upcoming season will show viewers what happens to the SAS after a shocking turn of events. They are yet to release further details of the series.
“After the roaring success of Rogue Heroes, I’m delighted to be embarking on the next chapter of the story,” said Knight in a statement. “Series two will take the SAS into mainland Europe and will take our heroes to the limits of their endurance.”
