Hulu announced the cancellation of the single-camera comedy series Reboot. The program is a revival of the well-known sitcom “Step Right Up” from the 2000s. It forces the dysfunctional cast to come together and address their unsolved concerns.
The series stars Keegan-Michael Key, Johnny Knoxville, Judy Greer, Rachel Bloom, Calum Worthy, Krista Marie Yu, and Paul Reiser. Steve Levitan is the creator and showrunner, and Reboot is his first project since “Modern Family” ended in 2020 after eleven seasons. Alongside Levitan, Danielle Stokdyk and Jeff Morton serve as executive producers.
20th Television produces the series for Hulu, with Levitan currently under an overall deal at the studio. Levitan intends to shop the show at other outlets, according to someone who knows the situation.
The first season ran for eight episodes and premiered on the streaming platform on Sept. 20, 2022.
