Freeform has confirmed the cancellation of Everything’s Trash, a comedy series by Phoebe Robinson. The show was a ten-part series that premiered last July 13. It has the lowest linear ratings of any original series on Freeform this year. With the series getting cancelled, the final episode of its first season, released on September 7, will serve as its conclusion.
The series is an adaptation of Robinson’s 2018 book Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay. It centers on Phoebe, a well-known and outspoken podcaster in her 30s who makes her mark on the culture while living a broke and blissfully chaotic life in Brooklyn. Along with Robinson, the cast also includes Nneka Okafor, Toccara Cash, Jordan Carlos, and Moses Storm.
Robinson worked with Jonathan Groff as an executive producer in addition to developing and writing the show. Co-executive producers were Lauren Bans and Jose Acevedo. Additionally, Chioke Nassor directed one episode and executive produced with Laura Gutin. The producers are Carlos, Tom Ragazzo, and Karl Frankenfield. As an associate producer, Thomas M. Bolger worked on the project. Together with Tiny Reparations, Robinson’s production company, ABC Signature produced the series.
