Netflix has confirmed the return of the dramedy Cobra Kai for its sixth and final season. The streaming service has not yet announced a release date for Cobra Kai Season 6. With three seasons released over 20 months, commencing with Season 3 in January 2021 and ending with Season 5 in September 2022, the show has historically had a semi-regular release schedule. However, the release date for this upcoming season will probably be delayed until late 2023 or 2024 because production has not yet begun.
After two seasons as a YouTube original series, Cobra Kai made its official move to Netflix and saw an increase in popularity. The showrunner Hayden Schlossberg took to Twitter to express his gratitude to the supportive fans and give a statement regarding the upcoming conclusion.
Official declaration from us. Big thanks to the fans for getting us to the finish line. Now get ready for one final round and lots of big surprises along the way. pic.twitter.com/xIwaFCocwR

The plot of the series is a continuation of the Karate Kid movies. Its events happen 34 years after the original, reigniting Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso’s feud. The cast members Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, Courtney Henggeler, Xolo Maridueña, Tanner Buchanan, Mary Mouser, Jacob Bertrand, Gianni DeCenzo, Martin Kove, Vanessa Rubio, Peyton List, Griffin Santopietro, Dallas Dupree Young, Yuji Okumoto, Oona O’Brien, and Alicia Hannah-Kim will be reprising their roles in the upcoming season.
