CBS announced the renewal of the sitcom Bob Hearts Abishola for its fifth season this 2023-2024. The multi-camera series debuted in 2019 and is in its fourth season presently on the network. It has been a part of the Monday night program since then. It is the second Monday night comedy to receive a renewal this week, after The Neighborhood.
According to CBS, in Live+35 multiplatform viewing, Bob Hearts Abishola averages 6.9 million viewers every episode. Also, the program had a season-best same-day rating of 5.84 million viewers on Monday and an average 18-49 demographic rating of 0.54.

Bob Hearts Abishola follows the romance between Bob and Abishola, as the latter takes care of Bob while recovering from a heart attack. Bob, a successful businessman, runs his family-owned compression sock business. His busy life changes for the better when he falls in love with Abishola, a dedicated Nigerian immigrant nurse who cares for him at Woodward Memorial Hospital as he recovers from a heart attack. Although Abishola initially rejects Bob’s advances strongly, Bob eventually wins her over.
The series stars Billy Gardell, Folake Olowofoyeku, Christine Ebersole, Matt Jones, Maribeth Monroe, Vernee Watson, Shola Adewusi, Barry Shabaka Henley, Travis Wolfe, Jr., Gina Yashere, Bayo Akinfemi, Anthony Okungbowa, and Saidah Arrika Ekulona.
The creators are Chuck Lorre, Al Higgins, Eddie Gorodetsky, and Yashere. Also, Matt Ross, Lorre, Higgins, and Yashere serve as executive producers. Chuck Lorre Productions, which has a current overall deal with the studio, produces the show in association with Warner Bros. Television.
