Tag along in the journey of the Flenory brothers as they pursue the American dream in the second season of BMF. The show, which formerly aired on Sundays, the busiest night for premium cable, has switched to Fridays. Catch it on the network’s app on Friday, January 6, at midnight, followed by its linear launch at 8 p.m. in the US and Canada.
The story of two brothers who emerged from the run-down streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s and founded one of the most powerful crime families served as inspiration for the series. The upcoming season highlights the complicated relationships between their parents. Furthermore, it will focus on the brothers as they expand their activities, enter the hip-hop industry, and grow the Black Mafia Family into the multistate empire it would eventually become. Also, BMF presents universal themes of faith and loyalty at home and on the streets.
It stars Demetrius Flenory Jr., Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, Michole Briana White, Myles Truitt, Steve Harris, Kelly Hu, and La La Anthony. The cast includes Detroit rapper Arkeisha Knight, Snoop Dogg, Leslie Jones, Christine Horn, Sydney Mitchell, Rayan Lawrence, and Serayah. In Season 2, Mo’Nique will debut as a guest star, and Caresha Brownlee will also make a cameo appearance.
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson via his G-Unit film and television in association with Lionsgate Television for STARZ, alongside showrunner and writer Randy Huggins serve as EPs of the series. Heather Zuhlke, Anthony Wilson, and Anne Clements also executive produce. The executives overseeing BMF on behalf of Starz and Lionsgate Television are Senior Vice President of Original Programming Kathryn Tyus-Adair and Erin Conroy.
