“It’s been an amazing journey making this show, and it’s bittersweet that the story has come to its natural conclusion,” Bill Hader, star, co-creator, writer, director, and executive producer, said in a press release.
“After three masterful seasons of BARRY, we are eager for viewers to see the powerful, complex, and hilarious conclusion to Barry Berkman’s story. It has been a pleasure working with this immensely talented team including Bill Hader, Alec Berg, Aida Rodgers, and the entire exceptional cast and crew,” said Amy Gravitt, Executive Vice President, HBO and HBO Max Comedy Programming.
Barry follows Barry Berkman, a depressed, low-rent hitman from the Midwest. Lonely and disappointed in his life, he hesitantly flies to Los Angeles to execute a hit on a wannabe actor.
In season 4, Cousineau is lauded as a hero as Barry’s arrest has shocking implications. The fourth season stars Emmy Winner Bill Hader, Stephen Root, Sarah Goldberg, Anthony Carrigan, Emmy(R) and Critics Choice winner Henry Winkler, and Robert Wisdom. Also, Michael Irby, Fred Melamed, Andrew Leeds, Patrick Fischler, and Jessy Hodges are returning as recurring guests.
