CBS renewed the news magazine broadcast, 60 Minutes, for season 56. With its 1968 debut, 60 Minutes is the longest-running and still-most-watched news magazine on television. Lesley Stahl, who has been a part of the show since 1991, Scott Pelley (since 2003), and Bill Whitaker (2014) make up the current host lineup. Cecilia Vega will join the program in March. Anderson Cooper, Norha O’Donnell, Sharyn Alfonsi, and Jon Wertheim are part-time correspondents.
Alongside 60 Minutes, CBS also renewed 48 Hours, NCIS; NCIS: Hawai’i, CSI: Vegas, Survivor, The Amazing Race, Tough As Nails and Lingo today. The list is a new addition to the previously announced renewals such as Fire Country, Young Sheldon, Ghosts, The Neighborhood, Bob Hearts Abishola, So Help Me Todd, The Equalizer, FBI, FBI: International, and FBI: Most Wanted.
