HBO Max Renews 12 DATES OF CHRISTMAS for a Second Season
Entire First Season Available to Stream Now; Special Reunion Episode Premieres Today
HBO Max today announced a second season pickup for holiday dating series 12 DATES OF CHRISTMAS. 12 DATES OF CHRISTMAS follows single “leads” as they meet potential love interests and go on the titular 12 dates in the hopes of finding that special someone to bring home for the holidays. Season one was showrun by Sam Dean (“Love is Blind”), filmed at a castle in Austria, and followed hopeless romantics Faith, Chad and Garrett as they searched for love in a magical winter wonderland. All eight episodes of the first season are available now on HBO Max, and the new reunion episode 12 DATES OF CHRISTMAS: UNWRAPPED premieres today. Hosted by D.J. “Shangela” Pierce, the reunion features Chad, Faith, Garrett and their love interests unwrapping everything that’s gone down since last Christmas – from settling scores and revealing juicy behind-the-scenes stories to unmasking secret hookups and answering whether our couples stayed together… or said goodbye.
“12 Dates is the escapist holiday treat we all need right now,” said Jennifer O’Connell, HBO Max executive vice president of non-fiction and live-action family. “In season one, we wanted to shake up the snow globe to combine everything we love about holiday romcoms with a clever dating show format and a wink at our audience. About 12 Dates of Christmas TV Show
Sam Dean ("Love is Blind") showruns and Natasha Rothwell ("Insecure") narrates this holiday dating series set in a stunning winter wonderland. "12 Dates" follows three hopelessly romantic singles Faith, Chad and Garrett on their journey to meet that special someone to bring home for the holidays.
The romance begins at a fairytale castle in Austria where ten magical wintery dates await - from ugly sweater parties and an intriguing masquerade ball to après-ski activities, these dates are sure to send temperatures soaring. As in all great rom-coms, our romantic leads' paths to love won't be easy. Just as they make connections, new love interests arrive, adding plenty of twists, turns - and hopefully - holiday cheer. Along the way, they'll face regular elimination ceremonies, complicated blasts from the past and no shortage of conflicting emotions. After bringing someone home for the holidays, they must decide whether to commit or walk away forever by the stroke of midnight on New Year's Eve.

The subjects’ romantic journey begins at a picturesque Christmas castle, where the prospective couples will enjoy festive holiday traditions such as ice skating, sleigh rides and hot toddies after a fun day in the snow. Like all great rom-coms, their path to love won’t be easy: Filled with unexpected twists and turns, the singles ultimately will choose a special someone to take home for the holidays, with the hope of a perfect Christmas ending.
